Boyang has won many prizes in piano competitions held both at home and abroad. In 2009, she took part at the Leeds International Piano Competition as the youngest competitor and was awarded with a special Prize. In 2013 she won the first prize of the 14th “Internationaler Klavierwettbewerb der Chopin- Gesellschaft Hannover” and performed for the Society in the season 2014. Also in the same year, she became a laureate of the 6th China International Piano Competition in Xiamen. In 2014 she was invited to the 12th Kissinger Klavierolymp in Bad Kissingen and received the 3rd Prize and as a result, she will perform under the auspices of the Kissinger Sommer 2015.
In 2014 she was also invited to perform in Paris (Salle Cortot). She also performed numerous concerts in China and abroad: Beijing (Forbidden Concert Hall), Tianjing (Grand Theater), Shanghai, South Korea, America, United Kingdom, Germany, Paris (Salle Cortot) and Warsaw (National Philharmonic Hall). In season 2016, Shi was invited by KAWAI to perform for their concert series in Germany.
In 2010, Boyang moved to Germany and joined the piano class of late world-renowned German pedagogue Prof. Karl- Heinz Kämmerling at the critical- acclaimed Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover. Since 2012, Boyang Shi continues her Bachelor's degree of Music with the famous Israeli pianist and pedagogue Prof. Arie Vardi in Hanover and after finished her Master’s degree, in 2019 Boyang finished her Konzertexam in Hochschule für Musik Detmold with Prof. Alfredo Perl
Since 2018 Shi became a faculty member of Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
