Daniil Gonobolin

Daniil was born in 2000 in Kherson, Ukraine, into a family of musicians. He began his musical education in the violin in 2006 at Kherson Children's Music School No. 1 with teacher O. Fimushkin. Since 2012, he has been studying at the Lysenko Kyiv Secondary Specialized School under the guidance of Professor Yaroslava Rivnyak. In 2018, he commenced studies at the National Music Academy of Ukraine in the class of Professor Olga Rynyak, and since 2020, he has been under the tutelage of Professor Serhiy Shott.

 

Starting from 2022, he pursued studies at the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra with mentor Alessandro Cappone and secured a scholarship, made possible through the support of AUDI and Lisa Batiashvili.

 

Daniil has been a member of the "Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine" since 2016. In 2019, he joined the first violin section of the "Kyiv Virtuosi Orchestra." He became a member of the first violin section of the "New Era Orchestra" in 2020, and in 2021, he joined the first violin section of the National Opera of Ukraine. In 2022, as part of the Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra, he undertook tours across Europe and the USA. As a guest player, Daniil collaborates with the Orchestre National de France.

Throughout his studies, Daniil has secured victories in national and international competitions. Notably, he achieved laureate status at the Stankovych International Competition in 2016, winning the First Prize. He claimed first place at the International Violin Competition ProArt-2018 and the Kotorovych International Violin Competition in 2021.

 

Since 2020, he has been a recipient of grant support from the VERE MUSIC FUND.

 

As a soloist, Daniil has graced numerous concert halls in Ukraine, Germany, France, and Israel. He has performed with state symphony orchestras in Kiev, Lviv, Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Dnipro.

 

He has actively participated in master classes conducted by professors Borys Kushnir, Borys Garlytsky, Noah Bendix-Balgley, Shlomo Mints, Vadym Brodsky, Valery Sokolov, and Alessandro Cappone.

 

Starting from 2018, Daniil Gonobolin teamed up with fellow Ukrainian young violinist Georgii Moroz to form the violin duet ensemble named "Violin Show." They have since released a series of original compositions and brought them to life through a collection of short films, showcasing their musical prowess and collaborative artistry.
